We have many times organized pre and post wedding events such as welcome cocktail parties, dinners, good buy brunches and fun beach days but this summer we planned a pre wedding celebration that was truly unique. The wedding of Marika and Brett (which we will be sharing with you very soon!) took place in Athens and the couple had the wonderful idea of welcoming their guests through offering them the opportunity to explore the Athens city center. The tour started with guests being picked-up from their hotels, and they were all transported to the center of town. They first walked through the Odeon of Herodes Atticus and then ascended the Acropolis hill with a guide who explained about the glorious monuments of the Acropolis such as the Parthenon, the Erectheion, the Propylaia. Guests admired the magnificent views to the Ancient Agora, the Observatory, the Philopappos, all the away to the sea. Later, they made their way to the Acropolis museum where more of the Acropolis artifacts are displayed in the very unique layout of the museum.
After a busy day guests enjoyed some ice-cream in the cobbled streets of Plaka before heading to the roof terrace of the Hilton Hotel to enjoy cocktails and admire the sunset over Athens.
This wonderful day was captured by the photographer, Thanasis Kaiafas. We hope you enjoy this!!
