A Destination Wedding in Mykonos

The beautiful Jelly & Kostas, exchanged vows at the picturesque island of Mykonos in Greece beside the sparkling Aegean Sea to pay homage to the Greek origins of the groom. A religious ceremony was held in the sleepy village of Aghios Sostis followed by an intimate exchange of vows at the hilltop Panormos Villas.

I have always loved the signature blue and white color scheme that’s unmistakably Greek and the details and elements of the occasion reflected this –  complemented by the amazing Cycladic panorama in the background. A mix of different shades of blue along with elegant gold details were used in implementing the decor for this wedding.

It was a beautiful day filled with love and joy for the newlyweds and one that they will remember for many years to come.

Destination Wedding in the Athenian Riviera – Florence & Gildas

I met Florence and Gildas in June of 2014 on a holiday trip they spent in Greece. They were looking for a wedding coordinator to turn their dream wedding into a reality. A small intimate wedding with only their close friends and family at the Athenian Riviera in early Spring 2016.

From the beginning I loved their fresh ideas and the importance they placed on their guest having fun at the wedding, interacting with each other and participating in the couple’s celebrations.

First we designed a ceremony which involved the interaction of many guests, with readings, music performances and sing alongs! Then guests spent the cocktail hour playing games like Ring Toss, Ladder Ball and Croquet while others had the option of socializing and taking photos before the beautiful natural Aegean sea backdrop!

Dinner was followed by speeches which involved many surprises from guests to the couple including funny videos of their lives together, quizzes created by the bridal party for guests about the couple and of course some moving speeches from the parents of the bride and groom.

For the décor we designed a theme that was whimsical and colorful like the couple itself, enhanced with natural details so that the reception would feel like an informal backyard fête.

The gorgeous moments below were captured by the talented, George Pahountis! Enjoy!

A Destination Wedding in Paros

The lovely bride Chryssie and her groom Christopher who live in Australia, decided to host a destination wedding in Greece as the bride’s origins are Greek. Their wedding was a celebration not only of their love but a greater celebration of homecoming for the bride’s side as well as the unity of two families with different cultures.

The ceremony took place at a traditional blue domed chapel in Paros right next to the sparkling Aegean sea. This was followed by the cocktail hour which took place by some only ruins during sunset overlook the dazzling blue waters where the couple had fun thing photos will all their guests in this beautiful background!

The dinner and reception was held on a picturesque town of Paros. Long family style tables we set for all guests and decorated with antique brass details and a mix of local foliage and herbs as the couple wanted a natural and organic look for their reception with as few flowers as possible. Each guest’s place card was a hand tied boutonniere while the table numbers were marked on white pebbles. The couple love reading and wanted to incorporate this in their wedding. Therefore as favors they gave all guests a Penguin Books copy of Circe and the Cyclops by Homer.

Following dinner, the couple headed for their first dance which was followed shortly after by line dancing lessons of the Greek side of the bride’s family to the rest of the guests who joined them on the dance floor!
