#1 – Decide what aspect you are going to mismatch

First you will need to decide if you are going to mix & match colors, textures, fabrics, lengths or styles. For a safer solution try to choose a maximum of one or two of the above. For example choose a uniform color for all but mismatch the textures and lengths of the dresses. Or choose a uniform fabric for all and mismatch the colors and lengths.

#2 – Select a color scheme

If you have selected a color theme for your big day, be sure to base the dresses on various shades of that central color in order to come up with a coordinated look overall in your wedding.

#3 – Let your bridesmaids help

When shopping for dresses its better to hit the stores with your bridesmaids. Each of us knows what best fits our body type and therefore your bridesmaids can guide you as to what looks better on them and what they feel most comfortable with.

#4 – Pick out a special twist for your Maid of Honor

The Maid of Honor always has to be a little different. So stick with the mismatched trend but pick a specific accessory, embellishment, fabric or piece of jewelry that will make the MoH stand out.

#5 – Tie it all together

The best way to come about doing this is to make sure in the end that all attire has one uniform element.
