Anna & Mike met in college and started dating after they graduated. A few years later Mike proposed in Los Angeles a breathtaking location overlooking the ocean and mountains at sunset. They both share Greek heritage and instantly knew they wanted to host their wedding celebrations in an authentic Cycladic island. They chose Antiparos for its serene beauty and laid-back atmosphere as well as its crystal clear turquoise waters, golden sandy beaches and its picturesque Main Town with white washed houses and cobblestone streets.
Inspired by the blue domed chapels and cascading bright pink bougainvillea of the island, they designed their wedding concept based on this aesthetic. As they spend their summers in their Hamptons home, they incorporated sea shells in their invitation suite and seating display as an nod to their shared summer memories.
The bride chose an ethereal halter silk dress paired with an intricate lace trimmed veil while the groom opted for a linen suit in pale blue matching the overall wedding aesthetic.
Their wedding was held at a private villa nestled within an olive grove farm overlooking the Aegean sea with gorgeous views of the sunset. They honored their Greek heritage by having a traditional bouzouki player accompanying the bride down the aisle, serving a Mediterranean family-style feast and dancing the night away with a surprise souvlaki taverna station to refuel guests at the end of their unforgettable celebration.
