We collaborated with the beautiful venue of Golf Prive on the Athenian Riviera, as we were inspired by its clean lines, soft furnishings, neutral colors and contrasting structural elements, which all came together in perfect harmony. We, therefore, decided to create a romantic yet modern setting for this editorial shoot.
I wanted to blend romanticism with modern elements and I loved seeing how these two elements can be brought together in balance. My vision with this editorial was to showcase how darker elements can add a contemporary twist to a classical bridal décor.
I’m naturally drawn to a neutral floral palette and therefore our arrangements were based in pastel colors to maintain the romantic side of a bridal shoot while departing from a traditional handpicked or compact setting and opting for more structured and modern lines in our florals. We maintained this pattern even in our choice of candles to create a unified theme.
We worked with Atelier Invitations in creating our stationary suite that incorporated different shapes and lines with cleaner fonts and graphics. Our table top was adorned by ceramic dishes, darker flatware and contemporary glassware.
While in keeping with today’s modern brides, Stylebox Rentals brought in a modern twist with their, furniture and soft furnishings. For our cake and gateaux, we departed from the classic tiered cake and here too we aimed at establishing new ideas by mixing different shapes and volumes.
The Costarelos Bridal jumpsuit in silk chiffon with intricate edging and flowing pleats gave a feminine touch to a gown that fit well with the modern style of this shoot. We paired this with a real statement piece, a halo floral head crown from Sibo Designs, crafted by hand with large metal flowers and brass leaf branches and Preciosa crystals.
