Small weddings are our favorite. And it seemed like the perfect fit when we met London based, Jess and Ryan who were dreaming of having an intimate wedding of 16 in Greece.
The South Korean – born bride and New Zealand – born groom met on their first day at university. They had been together almost 10 years when Ryan proposed on top of a hill overlooking Dubrovnik at sunset.
Greece is their favorite place in the world so they decided this was the perfect location for their wedding day. They love everything about it from the food to the scenery to the architecture and way of life.
So we recommended to them a small, quaint island on the dazzling Cyclades named Antiparos.
Being a non-traditional couple, they wanted a low key celebration with an intimate ceremony by the beach followed by meze-style cocktail hour during sunset and an amazing long dinner without speeches or a wild party after.
As both Bride and Groom are creative souls, the process of the planning was a breeze. They loved attention to detail and they even custom-made by hand their own invitations, menus and place cards. Our vision was aligned perfectly from the start so this project turned out to be one of our personal favorite.
From the serene cove where we set the private dinner of 16, the beautiful florals adorning the wedding table, the ceremony setting on the sand but mostly the kindness and love streaming from of all the guests that day made this an unforgettable experience for all those involved.
