Charday & Kyle
Our gorgeous bride was working at Nike World Headquarters a little over 6 years ago, when she met the groom Kyle who was doing a summer internship there before heading back to college. They became best friends that summer, and just before he had to leave for school, they decided to try long distance because they liked each other so much.
Kyle is a professional basketball played but Charday played basketball in college too, so basketball is in a nutshell, their life! It is what makes they bond so much. A few years ago, Kyle was offered to play in Greece for Olymbiakos team for his second year as a professional basketball player, but he didn't want to live that far apart without Charday! They had been doing long distance for way too long so when Kyle found out he was going to Greece to play, he planned an entire surprise proposal before he had to fly out the next day to Greece.
It was a sweet, midnight proposal with all of their family and friends.
When they started thinking about their wedding they immediately were drawn to the idea of having it in Greece, mainly because it had been the place where they spent their first year living together.
Their vision in terms of location was something off the beaten track, away from tourism, an island with beautiful beaches and bays, charming towns, white houses, wooden fishing boats and overall a tranquil and romantic charm. And they chose Ios, a small island in the Cyclades to host their celebrations.
Their ceremony was hosted in a beautiful villa overlooking the Aegean sea, after which the couple was pick-up with a traditional boat and taken to their reception. Before heading there, their bridal party met with the newlyweds in the charming port of Ios for some breathtaking pictures before sunset against a white washed chapel.
The spend their intimate reception being surrounded by their closest and dearests friends and family, with heartwarming speeches, an emotional song dedicated to the bride sang by her father and of course a wild party that had everyone to the dance floor until early morning.
